Major achievements: 
He presided over and participated in 17 scientific research projects under the National High-tech R&D Program (863 Program), National Key Technologies R&D Program, and relevant public-interest programs funded by the AQSIQ and SAC; he also organized the drafting of 15 national standards and published 41 academic papers on core journals.
