Date: 2018-10-12    Source:CNIS

On October 9, 2018, a group of four people, including Jason Fischer, Senior Vice President of UL Global, visited the Human Factors and Ergonomics Laboratory, Vice President Li Aixian and Director Luo Hong of Basic Research Institute in Changping Experimental Base of CNIS.

Jason Fischer and his party first visited the Human Factors and Ergonomics Laboratory in Changping Experimental Base to learn about the development process, research status and research results in the field of Ergonomics in CNIS. During the ensuing discussion, the two sides introduced their respective main organizations and functions, and focused on their current development situation, development planning and possible future cooperation in the field of human factors and ergonomics.

The U.S. Underwriters Laboratory ( UL ) is one of the most authoritative conformity assessment agencies in the world. It is a standard-setting organization recognized by the American National Standards Association ( ANSI ) and the Canadian Standards Council ( SCC ), and 80 % of its standards have become U.S. national standards or Canadian national standards. In recent years, UL has set up a human factor and ergonomics testing laboratory for medical devices in the United States, and its scale is still expanding. This communication and exchange between the two sides has promoted mutual understanding between CNIS and UL and laid a good foundation for future cooperation in human factors and ergonomics.
