The Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Trade of UNECE Visited CNIS

After attending the Second Global Cross-border E-commerce Conference, Ivonne Higuero, Minister of the Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Trade in United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE), led her party to visit CNIS on May 11. CNIS Vice-President Qiu Yueming held the panel discussion. And some relevant researchers attended the meeting.

Qiu Yueming expressed his welcome to Ms. Ivonne Higuero, and introduced the organizational structure, research fields and international cooperation of CNIS. The representative of High and New Technology and Information Institute introduced the overall situation for participating in international standardization in recent years, including Trade Facilitation and E-commerce (UN/CEFACT), Data Management and Data Exchange (ISO/IEC JTC1 SC32), Administrative, Commercial and Industry processes, Data Elements and Documents (ISO TC 154), Automation Systems and Integrated Industrial Data (ISO TC 184), Asset Management (ISO TC 251), Innovation Management (ISO TC 279), Health Informatics (ISO TC 215), and Developing Countries Affairs (ISO DEVCO). The representative of China Certification & Inspection Group introduced the relevant situations and suggestions of participating in UN/CEFACT. Both sides had a heated discussion and reached consensus on UN/CEFACT's promotion and implementation in China and actively supporting China's participation in international standards development. And the UN/CEFACT Autumn Forum which will be held in Hangzhou was also discussed.

During the visit, Ms. Ivonne Higuero and her party visited National Library of Standards and had an in-depth understanding of standard collections, service platform construction, and service capabilities.
