Key areas of research and scope of work:
Fundamental and comprehensive standardization study in agriculture: the study of agricultural standards development strategy and construction of standards system; the formulation and amendment of fundamental, comprehensive and management standards such as agricultural products classification, glossary, label and labeling; the construction of agricultural standardization demonstration zones and the implementation of standards; standards, laws and regulations of organic standards at home and aboard. Active following of the latest developments of international agricultural standards, and participation in the formulation of international standards.
Research on agricultural products quality safety control and management standardization: establishment of good agricultural practices and sanitary practices, important technology standards of agricultural products tracing to the source, agricultural products processing standards and system of enterprises producing agricultural products; the system of agricultural products markets and circulation standards. Active following of the latest developments of international agricultural standards of ISO, CAC, OIE, IPPC, ECE and OECD, and participation in the formulation of international standards.
Research on agricultural products quality grading standardization: the principles and methods of agricultural products quality grading; and research on and formulation of standards for agricultural products, e.g. fruits, vegetables, meats, eggs, milks and grains.
