National Technical Committee on Water Conservation Holds the Annual Meeting in CNIS

SAC/TC 442 on water conservation held its annual meeting in CNIS on January 30, 2018. CNIS organized the meeting as the SAC/TC 442 secretariat.

SAC Vice-Administrator Yin Minghan addressed the meeting, highly  appreciated the achievements of the technical committee over the past year,  and required the technical committee to do better in three aspects:

Firstly, innovate work methods, improve the standards system of water conservation and play the supporting role of standards in industrial policy making; secondly, enhance internal management, and build an open, coordinated and efficient work platform; Thirdly, establish the concept of quality first and constantly improve standards quality.

Ren Shuben, as the Chair of SAC/TC 442 and Director-General of Environment and Resource Department, NDRC,  put forward the requirements for the committee: Firstly, in terms of standards quality, give priority to the standards development in urgent need, strictly control the project approval and process management, and update the states quo in time; Secondly, in terms of international standardization, strive for leadership and set an environmental-friendly image for international capacity cooperation; Thirdly,  in terms of organization, streamline the technical committee and absorb all forces to participate in standardization work according to the practical work on water conservation.

Bai Xue, the Secretary of SAC/TC 442, did the summing-up report on the committee work in 2017, ptut forward the working plan next year, he stated, The committe will focus on strengthening the construction of the superstructure, improve the management of National TechnicalCommittee on Water Conservation  ; and enhanced in sectors such as agricultural services standards to implement and perfect the standard system of water saving construction ; strengthening the standards propagation  to ensure the implementation of the standards.
